How to keep a shared subscription working

Shared accounts work well when everyone on them behaves predictably. Here is what causes almost every problem we see.

1. Do not change the password

It sounds obvious, but it happens weekly. Changing the password locks out everyone else on the account, which triggers a reset, which locks out you as well. If something looks wrong, message us first.

2. Stay on your own profile

Using someone else's profile does not break the account, but it ruins their recommendations and gets noticed. On shared plans you get a dedicated profile — use that one.

3. Do not change the account email or plan

Editing account-level settings — email address, billing plan, region — affects everyone. Profile-level settings such as language, maturity rating or subtitles are entirely yours to change.

Passwords rotate monthly

This is normal and deliberate. Platforms increasingly detect and reset stale shared credentials, so rotating ahead of them keeps things stable. If you are a current customer you get the new details automatically — you never have to chase us for them.

If you were sent credentials months ago and stopped renewing, those details will no longer work. That is the rotation, not a fault.
