Why we remind you before your subscription expires
Most sellers in this market do not send renewal reminders. Letting a subscription lapse quietly and waiting for the customer to come back is less work, and it avoids giving them a natural moment to reconsider.
We send them anyway. Three reasons.
1. A lapsed account loses your history
If your Netflix profile is removed and rebuilt, your list, your ratings and your recommendations go with it. If you renew before the end date, everything stays. That is worth more to most people than a few days of saved cost.
2. It forces us to be worth renewing
A business that depends on customers forgetting has no reason to improve. If we have to actively ask you every month, we have to have earned it every month. That constraint is deliberate.
3. It is the reason for the referrals
Nobody has ever recommended us because the price was 50 birr lower than someone else. They recommend us because the account kept working and someone told them before it ran out. Reminders are not a cost centre — they are the marketing.
Zero advertising has been run since we started. Every customer so far arrived through a recommendation.
How it works
We message you a few days before the end date, on whichever channel you ordered through. If you want to renew, you pay and nothing interrupts. If you do not, nothing happens — there is no automatic charge, because we never hold your payment details.
